students took part in the Russian-Tajik Media Forum in Dushanbe

23 October 2025 International activities 308

A large-scale media forum on the basis of the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University was a success in Dushanbe, bringing together one hundred young specialists from Russia and Tajikistan. The key topic of this year’s forum was artificial intelligence and its new opportunities for the youth media community of the two countries.

Large-scale media forum was held in Dushanbe

Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants at the beginning of the forum with a welcoming speech. Scientific and educational issues have been given a prominent place on the agenda of the Russian-Tajik bilateral dialogue. It is enough to mention the Russian-Tajik (Slavic) University itself, where we are gathered today and which combines the best practices of the two educational systems. RTSU is successfully developing today, living a busy university life. I would like to thank Rector Mashrab Kurbonali for his great contribution to the preparation of our media forum today, which brought together more than a hundred participants.

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University was represented at the forum by students of the Higher School of International Relations: Grigory Bushuev, Alisa Merkulova and Ivan Tkachuk.

One of the participants, Ivan Tkachuk, shared his impressions: During the forum, together with colleagues from Tajikistan, we trained our professional skills and learned how to create high-quality content. For example, we figured out what trends are and how to form them on our own. According to my impressions, everything is great! The organization was at the highest level, and the Tajik side showed extreme hospitality.

For three days, the participants had a rich educational intensity: lectures, master classes and teamwork on creating content dedicated to artificial intelligence.

The Media Forum became an important stage in strengthening humanitarian ties between Russia and Tajikistan, providing young professionals with the opportunity for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects.
