Common vision of the future: SPbPU and KRSU have developed a development program
An intensive three-day design and analytical session has ended at the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), which was the logical result of almost a year of work by the KRSU development team with the support of SPbPU and other Russian universities. The session brought together the leadership of KRSU, leading teachers, the most active representatives of the student community and experts from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University under one roof. The main task for these three working days, which was agreed upon by the Polytechnic experts and the rector of KRSU, was to translate the ambitious development strategy of KRSU until 2030 (with a view to 2040) from the field of concepts into concrete actions and measurable results.
SPbPU experts have been working with the KRSU team for more than a year to develop approaches to the qualitative transformation of the engineering education system at the Kyrgyz University and, in general, to develop a strategy for its development. The process of working out the Development Program and the Roadmap for its implementation until 2030 has now begun.
The work was carried out on five key project tracks, each of which was responsible for a fundamental direction of development: modern education and relevant educational programs, science and innovation, investments in human capital, progressive youth policy and end-to-end pre-university and postgraduate professional education. In addition, attention was paid to the issues of integrated infrastructure development, including the new KRSU campus, and effective financial management.
For three days, the KRSU development team, which included representatives of the university’s administrative structures, as well as deans, teachers and students from various faculties of KRSU, consistently worked out the tasks of translating strategic goals into specific work initiatives and events. Implementation tools, performance indicators, and responsible performers were developed for each initiative. At each stroke of the session, SPbPU experts accompanied the group work, actively involving participants in the discussion, sharing their own experiences and examples that could be taken into account when developing the university’s fundamental policies and mechanisms for its implementation. After each stage of the group work, the leaders of the KRSU thematic groups presented the results of the group’s work at the plenary session, answered questions and received suggestions that they would take into account in the future.
It is important to understand that the completed session is not the final point, but rather a powerful start to a large and systematic work. All the accumulated materials, initiatives and projects will form the basis of a detailed Program for the development of cattle breeding for 2026-2030 and its corresponding roadmap. These documents will become a real management tool with clear indicators, deadlines and responsible ones. It is expected that the implementation of this program will lead to tangible changes for all: This includes updating educational programs, strengthening scientific potential, developing youth initiatives, creating a modern, comfortable infrastructure, and, ultimately, new unique opportunities for each student and teacher of the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
